About Me

I was born to American parents in Guatemala and spent my formative years there. I grew up speaking three languages and have lived and worked across Central and North America. Memphis is home now; the people and places I have known continue to shape what I notice and write.

Across both, I’m interested in how people understand one another and make meaning of life.

I take life seriously but try not to take myself too seriously. I am a realist and a closet optimist, drawn to growth, objectivity, improvement, and redemption.
